MINEGOZIIBE ANISHINABE JORDAN’S PRINCIPLE ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

1 FTE OFF-RESERVE SUB OFFICE (Winnipeg)

Jordan’s Principle ensures First Nations children can access the products, services, and supports they need, when they need them.

 

Reporting to the Services Coordinator, the Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support for the Jordan’s Principle Team’s sub-office in a variety of administrative roles. A strong knowledge of computer skills: MS word, Excel, Power Point programs is essential.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

The following list represents the significant duties and responsibilities and is illustrative, not exhaustive. 

 

*     Greet people and direct them to contacts or services.

*     Answer incoming calls, and telephone calls and messages.

*     Able to create and maintain filing systems and basic databases.

*     Review, sort, and distribute incoming and outgoing mail and couriers.

*     Fax, photocopy, and scan documents as required.

*     Able to write simple correspondence, including memos, letters, etc.

*     Coordinate travel arrangements and reservations.

*     Order office supplies and maintain inventory.

*     Manage and coordinate multiple calendars.

*     Other duties as assigned.

 

EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES 

 

o   High school diploma or GED, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.

o   3 years direct experience in an administrative capacity

o   Strong organizational Skills

o   Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of organization.

o   Knowledge and experience with computer systems and related office and education

o    Current Criminal Records Check: Adult/Vulnerable/Child Registry Checks

o   (Microsoft Office 365)

o   Valid Manitoba driver’s license

 

 

Salary:  Dependent on Qualification’s and Experience
