MINEGOZIIBE ANISHINABE JORDAN’S PRINCIPLE Team Support

2 FTE OFF-RESERVE SUB OFFICE (Winnipeg)

 

Jordan’s Principle is a legal obligation with a needs-based approach driven by principles of substantive equality, the best interest of the child, and distinct community circumstances. Jordan’s Principle ensures First Nations children can access the products, services, and supports they need, when they need them.

 

Reporting to the Service Coordinator, the Team Support will be responsible in assisting with requests for the Jordan’s Principle Team and assist with the case management processes for Off-Reserve requests.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

The following list represents the significant duties and responsibilities and is illustrative, not exhaustive. 

 

*     Supports incoming calls/requests which includes, navigation, messages, and follow-up.

*     Document management, including faxing, copying, scanning, and filing.

*     Ensuring files and documentation are organized and up to date.

*     Assist the Jordan’s Principle Team with updating of files and gathering resources.

*     Support the Jordan’s Principle Team with data collection, purchase orders, and assist in locating resources and families.

*     Assist in administrative tasks and services as necessary.

*     Other duties as required.

 

EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES 

 

*     Grade 12-Post Secondary preferred or combination of related work experience and/or training.

*     Knowledge of case management and practices.

*     Knowledge of and appreciation for Indigenous ways, teaching and intergenerational impacts are essential.

*     Current Criminal Records/Vulnerable, Child Abuse and Adult Registry Checks.

*     Willing to travel as required/and or requested.

*     Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment. 

*     Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
